We are Culligan of Wheaton, your water technology experts proudly serving Northern Illinois. Our dealership specializes in providing water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, water coolers, bottled water, water filtering and softener salt delivery service to area homes and businesses.
CULLIGAN OF WHEATON HISTORY
Culligan Wheaton is Culligan USA's first franchise. Founded in Wheaton, IL in 1938, we have grown to become one of the premier dealerships in the Chicago suburbs. We originally rented 'Portable Exchange' tanks to our customers. These tanks were installed in our customers' homes and we then exchanged them for 'fresh' tanks, and recharged the spent tanks at our regeneration facility in Wheaton.
By the 1950s we began renting and selling automatic softeners and filters that were recharged and regenerated on-site in the customer's home. This technology eventually made the portable exchange method of treating water obsolete.
By the early 1960s we had outgrown our building, and in 1962 moved into our present 14,000 square foot building from which we rent and sell softeners, filters, drinking water and bottled water equipment. We also deliver bottled water and salt.
During our history we have provided the Culligan System with many innovations in sales, office and service management. We have been honored with many awards from Culligan USA including the Circle of Excellence, Silver Circle, and Top Dealership Awards. Members of our staff have been elected to Culligan’s Dealer Advisory Council and their Service Advisory Council. We were a founding member of the Water Quality Association and the state of Illinois Water Quality Association. We are members of the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce, the Wheaton Downtown Association and other civic organizations.
Our goal today is the same as when the company was started - Customer Satisfaction and Retention through Excellence in Service.

07/02/2018Had a great experience. Recently I noticed a slow trickle from my discharge hose. I was able to turn it off for a while, waiting to see if we really wanted soft water. Turned it back on today after about two months and the trickle was worse, and could not get it to stop. The rate was roughly six to eight gallons per hour, going down the drain. I hate wasting water unnecessarily. I called them and explained my issue and made an appointment for Thursday afternoon, but asked if they would try to work me in sooner. Got a call back a few minutes later and they said they had a technician in the area that could stop by right away! He replaced the seal pack inside the unit in about 15 minutes. Now that is customer service! Thanks to everyone involved!!!
