Culligan offers a wide range of technologies, products and services to meet the water quality and quantity needs of our customers with high purity water applications.
Well Source Filtration
Filtration is the process of removing turbidity from water, both coarse as well as colloidal, adsorbing undesired odors, taste and colors and organic pollutant (antiparasitics, solvents, cyanotoxins), eliminating iron, manganese, arsenic and other heavy metals (such as chromium, aluminum, nickel, etc.) or neutralizing the water acidity. All these results can be achieved with a proper filtration treatment that in many cases is preceded by a pre-oxidation and chemical conditioning equipment. Filtration makes it possible to remove ammonia by means of nit
rification.
Simple in appearance, filtration is in reality a sophisticated water treatment process. It does not always correlate to precise chemical reactions but, in many instances, it is connected to mechanical and biological reactions, not always easily explainable.
Our industrial filters are entirely manufactured in our Culligan plants. They are made of steel and are protected by anti-corrosion coatings, a heavy layer of food-grade epoxy resin on the inside, and synthetic paint on the outside. The smaller Hi-Flo 22 Filters are manufactured in FRP fiberglass, with internal protection achieved with a non-toxic polyethylene liner. On the industrial filters, the automatic cycles of service and backwash are regulated by a group of diaphragm hydraulic valves driven by an hydraulic pilot that, in turn, is controlled by an electronic logic programmer.
Water Softeners
Culligan is the right choice for battling hard water. From doing laundry to manufacturing, our softening systems give you the quality water you need to take care of business. Through an ion exchange process, softeners remove harsh calcium, magnesium, iron, and manganese ions from your water supply. In the end, you can run your business more effectively--using less detergent, reducing hard-water build-up and saving equipment from unnecessary wear. Softeners utilizing the MVP™ controller can be set up in multiple tank configurations - up to six tanks. These softeners can also use Culligan's patented progressive flow process or our patented Aqua-Sensor® technology. Culligan can also provide specially engineered options for your softener to handle many of your commercial/industrial needs.

Reverse Osmosis Technology
Culligan's reverse osmosis systems are used in a variety of commercial and industrial applications to significantly reduce levels of dissolved minerals, replace with alkalinity, particles, organics and silica in water. Whether used in a small restaurant for drinking water or a large industrial plating facility for rinse water, Culligan manufactures systems to fit the needs of a multitude of businesses and applications.
Culligan's reverse osmosis systems are used in a variety of Commercial / Industrial applications to provide high purity water solutions that lower costs, increase efficiencies and help drive profitability by:
- Reducing energy and water usage
- Reducing discharge and waste treatment expenses
- Metal recovery from finishing operations
- Improving customer experiences through high quality beverages
- Spot-free rinse water for vehicle washing, manufacturing and metal finishing/parts washing
In Reverse Osmosis, water is passed thorugh a semi-permeable membrane under high pressure, removing unwanted dissolved solids. This process eliminates up to 95% of dissolved minerals, particles and organics from your water, giving you pure water for anything from making beverages to printing. From 100 gallons per day (.07 gpm) to 144,000 gallons per day (100 gpm), Culligan has an RO system to meet your needs. Culligan also offers specially engineered reverse osmosis systems for use on your commercial/industrial needs.
